This look was the first attempt at a “modern” manicure to go with my first book review for Nails – The Story of the Modern Manicure. I kind of consider it a nail fail – only because I didn’t get close enough to my cuticle and I improperly applied my topcoat causing increased shrinkage. But I still like the look – and it’s kind of growing on me, darn it!
This was another really fast manicure using just tape and a stripping brush. I really love these colors together – which is strange since NONE of them are colors I would normally gravitate towards. But they look hot together and complement each other so well. Here is a splatter manicure I decided better represented the book that uses the exact same colors.
